While many individuals are responsible for the Molecular Visualization capabilities in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University, there are several who must receive special recognition.
Joe Gajewski and Kevin Gilbert were instrumental in securing the initial grant for the Silicon Graphics VGX system that formed the basis for the Molecular Visualization "facility".
Bill Roush (now at U. Michigan) was primarily responsible for suggesting the need for a Molecular Modeling professional
Marty Pagel (now at Monsanto) was responsible for most of the development during his tenure at Indiana University. The bulk of these web pages, and much of the sofware were developed by Marty.
John C. Huffman was the PI for the proposal which funded the "StereoView Room".
Ken DeHart has absorbed much of the system administration duties over the past few years--a thankless but essential task.
We thank all the above as well as the scores of faculty, post-docs, students, and staff who have contributed to making MolViz a reality!
